Vintage Transistor Radios of the Past

The Regency TR-1 transistor radio revolutionized how we could listen to radio broadcasts. Created by Regency Electronics of my home town of Indianapolis, Indiana in 1954. The Tr-1 is in some minds the holy grail for a collector. Watch the promotional video below, this is how the United States manufacturing used to work.

I became hooked on transistor radios when my grandfather would give me radios he would get from his bank as promotional give aways. We would take them to school and listen to daytime World Series broadcasts with our earpieces as they were called then.

Here are some of the radios we have in our inventory for sale. Add one or more to your collection.
