Just finished some picks in Hamilton, Ohio and came across some nice jewelry pieces from Weiss and B David as well as some classic ball and fountain pens and mechanical pencils.
B David was a jewelry manufacturer based in Cincinnati, Ohio from 1945 to 1993 featuring stunning designs using quality Austrian crystals. Their signature piece are the mother's crowns which could be custom order with the birthstones of her children incorporated in the design.
Albert Weiss started as a designer at Corocraft company before starting his own company in New York City in 1942 and ceased operations in 1971. Their are famous for a series called "Black Diamond" which feature smokey colored crystals and are much desired by collectors.
This collection came from one estate who was a pen and mechanical pencil collector. While not having high end items such as Waterman, Whal Eversharp and Mont Blanc he did have a Waterman pen original box. He also liked advertising pens and mechanical pencils which were used in the 1950s and 60s and are still used as company advertising today. Some unusual designs are from State Fidelity which had a payment calculator built into the pen and the Good Housekeeping when offer items to do.
